A Simplified Comparison of Camera Performance: Galaxy A55 vs. A54

The Galaxy A55 and A54 have very similar cameras when you first look at them. Both phones have a 50MP main camera with OIS, which means it helps stabilize your photos, along with a big sensor and small pixels. The A55 uses a Sony sensor, while the A54 uses Samsung's or another Sony one.

Their wide-angle cameras seem alike at first, but they use different sensors. This is also true for their selfie cameras.

When you compare their photos, they're pretty much the same in terms of detail. They both have good and bad points, but they're similar.

The A55's photos seem more laid-back. The colors are not as strong, and they're less sharpened. The A54's photos are not overly sharp, but they're a bit stronger in color.

Their wide-angle cameras are similar in quality, but the A54 seems to have a slight advantage. The A55's photos are noisier with more sharpening.

The selfie cameras on both phones do a great job. They capture faces well, even without autofocus, and the skin tones look good.

Both phones take good photos in low light. You can see details even in the dark parts, and the highlights are handled well.

If we had to choose, maybe the A54 is a bit better in detail. The wide-angle cameras are okay, but nothing special. Overall, they're pretty much the same.

For videos, both phones can shoot in 4K. The quality is good, but the A54 might have a slight edge in detail. The colors are similar, but the A55's might be a bit more colorful.

The A54 sharpens its wide-angle videos more, but there's not much difference overall.

In low-light videos, the A54 might be a bit better in detail.

So, both phones are pretty similar in camera performance, with some small differences here and there.
