Chinese car brands continue to "flood" the Indonesian automotive market. This year, another Chinese car brand is set to enter Indonesia. Its name is Jetour.
Jetour has announced that two of its vehicle models will be introduced to Indonesia, namely the Jetour X70P and Jetour DASHING. Both models are scheduled for official launch later this year.
Jetour sees the Indonesian market as an ideal choice, especially due to the popularity of SUVs. It's evident that SUVs hold a significant appeal in Indonesia, with 3 out of 10 top-selling cars being SUV models. Jetour's "Travel+" strategy, which integrates people, vehicles, and the environment, aims to provide a comprehensive driving experience for Indonesian customers.
Jetour is a relatively new SUV brand that has seen rapid growth in China. The brand has achieved a milestone of one million unit sales. The year 2023 marked a significant progress for Jetour Auto, with total annual sales reaching 315,167 vehicles, representing a 75 percent increase compared to the previous year. Notably, Jetour's international exports have been experiencing year-on-year growth of 147 percent, surpassing the industry average.
As part of its ambitious foreign strategy, Jetour aims to achieve an annual export volume of one million vehicles by 2030. The brand's entry into the Indonesian market is a strategic step towards achieving this goal, strengthening Jetour's position as an automotive leader.
Jetour is also committed to collaborating with its dealers to provide the best sales programs and maintain constant accessibility. This underscores Jetour's primary focus on customer satisfaction.
Jetour's entry into the Southeast Asian market with the Jetour X70P aims to provide comfortable family travel, while the Jetour DASHING series is focused on trendy user travel preferences.
